We look at used books for sale on Mondays and Fridays from 11am - 3pm on a first come, first served basis. Please read the information below for more details.
We can look at a maximum of 4 small boxes (no larger than a file box) per trip. Books should be packed neatly in boxes, or use grocery bags/totes. Please do not use any kind of produce box or bring in armloads of loose books. We ask that you remain in the store while we look at your books unless prior arrangements have been made.
Books should be clean, and free of any writing, odors, markings, stickers, stains, creases, or other flaws. Please check the condition of your books before bringing them in. Be aware that our condition requirements will be stricter than they have been in the past. If an initial glance shows some books in poor condition, we may decide to turn them away without examining them in detail. This is especially true for any sort of water damage, or books that have been marked inside.
If you have a larger or more unusual collection, email us at Books@WilliamJamesBookseller.com for more information. Please include some photos or a detailed description of the books of the books you would like to sell.
